HAHA – it’s easy to say writer’s block doesn’t exist when you don’t have it.
But then it happens and that’s okay.
Here are 3 ways to snap out of it:
- Airplane ramp worker ear muffs – these cost $13. They are not fancy and not fashionable. But they block out noise and focus the ADHD mind.
- Physical exercise of your choice – 5 minutes on the exercise bike, a walk around the block, 25 pushups or 100 sit-ups. Pick your favorite and do it quickly. It breaks the trance.
- A kitchen timer. I have one on my desk. When it feels like vapor-lock I will set it to 5 minutes and race to start, write and finish something. Just to break the trance.
