Follow-up from my unpleasant interaction with Mr. Greasy Guru.
The more you get into the world of marketing, and writing for marketing, the more you learn it is based on raw numbers.
And raw numbers dedicated to promotion, getting eyeballs and clicks.
There are people manufacturing products out of thin air – based on research and Mr. Greasy Guru promotion tactics.
Well that’s okay. You can learn from people you don’t like.
There are a couple scallywags in the How to Create Million Dollar Product program over in the Member’s Area. I studied them and offer them to you because they had success in a marketing area. Their inclusion is not a personal endorsement.
But the real takeaway from Mr. Greasy Guru is the lack of heart in their approach. Zero concern or compassion for their customers.
They are in the business of generating traffic and transactions and that’s it.
Mmmph. That’s not how I want to live.
Yes I want to make money and reach an audience. I think you do too.
So I study the marketing and use the techniques. Hold my nose when I have to.
But it’s all in service to getting the art to an audience. Same thing with the music school.
Combined we are enriching people’s lives. I hope you agree.
