I’ve got this neighbor who doesn’t like me. He’s been haranguing me since I moved in.
I tried to placate him for the first year and a half.
But it never stopped. He got crazier and crazier.
Reality is he doesn’t like the fact that our 5-year-old is an atomic noisemaker.
He can’t complain about so he goes on about everything else – the garbage pails, the piano, the dog the parking.
One day, another inane complaint comes my way.
I burst out laughing.
I thought he was going to drop to the pavement.
He went inside and I saw him yelling at his wife who also hates us.
I’m actually grateful to the guy.
He gave me valuable training in how to handle criticism. Now I know you have to laugh from the beginning.
You’re going to get criticized in business as soon as you hang your shingle.
