We’re having one of those 90° every day kind of weeks.
That means I’m watering the plants at least twice a day.
This year all of our greenery is doing exceptionally well.
What I’m saying is that 3/4 of the way through the day they will start to droop in the heat.
All it takes is a couple of minutes to drag out the buckets and take care of them.
It’s a small discipline that I enjoy doing. Watering the plants, keeping my food diary and a couple other small items all keep me grounded.
They also make sure that the bigger systems continue working the way I have designed them.
I do understand this isn’t terribly sexy or groundbreaking.
But the people who get it get it.
This is what it takes if you want green plants, long health and a successful business.
Small, five minute tasks that ensure all your hard work stays in tiptop condition.
Too many people won’t talk about it because it’s not sexy. Because it’s not big fireworks.
But the people who get it understand that big fireworks are not the key to long-term success.
They are fun when they happen but the reality is you’ve got to water the plants, keep your food diary, do your exercise and tend to the small yet vital tasks that are what actually make up your business.
Feeding your mind with good stuff is one of those tasks. That’s why we publish Retired Writers Club every day. Reading each message takes no more than five minutes.
And yet it’s one of those things that will keep your garden green and your cash flow positive.
