It’s a funny thought I had on waking when I was still in the dreamy state.
I mean it happens so much and in so many different ways that all the people who are supposedly victims have got to be getting something out of it, right?
While this is true especially for small dollar amounts this is not a lesson in how to rip people off.
It is however a valid observation.
The answer of course is that people do get swindled mostly because they have responded emotionally to a sales pitch, a politician or propaganda.
And appealing to emotions is the core of sales.
And that means the ultimate responsibility is up to the person who creates the product or the sales message or delivers the pitch.
And what that really means is that the ultimate job for people like us is thinking.
We have to think about what will appeal to the customer about what will get them involved emotionally. I like the spot that I’ve picked. Delivering a good product that gives people a valuable skill.
I know plenty of people who use emotional marketing to sell good products. Products that people want and enrich their customers lives.
And the key to enriching the customers life is appealing to their emotions.
