I don’t know any writer who hasn’t encountered a block – an inability to get the work that they said they wanted to do. I’ve read or heard a dozen explanation for it, and some of those were written to avoid the actual problem. Oh, let’s see, I have writer’s block for my big project so let me write an essay about writer’s block. LOL. That’s a good sign about what writer’s block really is – simple avoidance.
But hopefully you’re at the point where if you have encountered a block, or maybe just some plain old procrastination, you’d like to move past it and get on with the work you have in mind.
Well you’re in luck because I stumbled upon a cool method that is lots of fun and helped my words flow like water. I finished 2 books recently that would have taken me at least a year and change to get done the old fashioned way – write, worry, write, worry some more, stop writing for a week or two, write … and so on.
This last round I wasn’t even suffering from writer’s block. I just wanted to get on with it and to do so in the most efficient way possible. Simple pragmatism is what drove me to investigate this new way.
And because I bypassed the old way of writing entirely, I didn’t have any of the hangups associated with the dreaded keyboard and the blank page. I just let ‘er rip.
Like I said it was fun. I was doing something different so there was a sense of discovery about the whole process. And once I got a head of steam it started moving on its own.
So now the problem of writer’s block or even procrastination just doesn’t exist. I am writing the books I want to write and enjoying myself. It feels like being home.
I have put together a short, 55-minute audio program explaining this approach. Because I actually used my new method to get this done, it flows, it is easy to understand and it is fun. I want to share it with you so you can see if it works for you as well as it did for me. I hope so.
The program comes with a PDF for reference and printing if you like. The best part is you already have the technology you need to get started – today if you want (after all, this thing does eliminate writer’s block) – and most important you will be getting the writing done that you know you want to do.
Sometimes taking a different approach is all you need to get unstuck – why not walk around that big rock instead of beating your head against it?
