Those who don’t think they understand something as soon as they see it may be the lucky ones.
They are the ones who ask how it works. They are the ones who test what it can and what it can’t do. They want to know why it works this way but not another way.
They want to know if there’s another way to do it.
People who are slow on the uptake will spend time learning everything they can about it.
So they’re not glib. They may not seem like a genius.
But if you’ve ever had someone fix a car problem no one else could you know what I am talking about.
That guy doesn’t advertise. But everyone knows who he is.
He’s the one who can keep an old car running longer than should be possible.
Then there’s the old doctors and nurses who know exactly how to cure what the Internet says can’t be done.
So if it’s taking a while for you to learn something or get good at something I would say understand that you are in good company.
You are discovering things for yourself what has been accepted as true by others.
You may be the one to discover a new way because it is taking you longer than everyone else.
And when you do figure something out you can simply present it with all of the wisdom you have acquired.
The world always recognizes a true expert who has taken the time to understand the deep truths of any field.
