Caleb announced hunger.
I said OK but that was not fast enough.
Caleb wanted bacon now.
Fortunately I was prepared.
I’ve gotten in the habit of cooking a pound of bacon at a time. I put it on a plate, let it cool and distribute it into Ziploc bags.
Thus, when bacon is announced I can have it ready in 13 seconds.
No more screaming at the unfairness of life.
Having things ready ahead of time lends order and confidence to life.
I do it for my business and especially Retired Writers Club.
I also explain how and why to prepare material well in advance and the benefits it provides – like not having to panic when you know your audience wants to be fed.
