Great inventions follow a three-step process:
- Deep thinking
When we hear the story of an invention watch a movie or read a biography what we usually get is the boom!
The boom is fun. It is exciting to be around.
Everyone wants to be associated with flashes of brilliance and the celebration of victory.
If the first two steps are covered in a movie or book they are framed with the foreknowledge that the guy or gal in question eventually succeeded.
In real life it doesn’t work that way. Most of us have been involved with research and thinking.
Even with a job or career that was scary to you at first and then you learned about and then you worked hard at mastering.
And then boom! You became great at your job or recognized in your field.
Again, after the boom the research and thinking doesn’t seem like such a big deal.
But you know you did it. You knew you had to do it. There were times when it didn’t seem like it was going to pay off.
But it generally does pay off. Most of us have become accomplished at many things after doing the first two steps.
We have all enjoyed the boom!
The same goes for business. You may have a business right now or are thinking about doing one. You know how hard it is. You may have already done research and deep thinking.
And you may still be waiting for the boom!
I publish a daily email to help you get the boom! It only goes out to those subscribers who understand that every bit of idea or story they can get their mind around can eventually deliver that boom!
It took years to hone many of these ideas. And just like everybody else there were times when I thought the research and deep thinking steps we’re never going to work. But they did. They did for me and they will for you.
