So something I was counting on did not come through today.
Earlier in the week Julie had a “situation” that made her move into overdrive.
Ugh. It is normal to feel shook when some piece of your grand design doesn’t work.
In my case I was counting on X, so Y and Z could happen, in that order.
With X gone, what about Y and Z.
It is also normal to cycle through the feels – disbelief, anger, loss of hope and wanting to walk.
Your plans going sideways has another meaning.
Your metaphysics got tilted!
You see when you have a plan, that is a map of how you think the world should behave.
When the plan doesn’t work it goes much deeper than just losing X.
The world is wrong!
When a plan goes wrong and your metaphysics tilts, it is also an opportunity to see the field anew.
So the world doesn’t work the way you want it to? Show me the written guarantee.
But the world still works and Y and Z still exist.
With your vision cleared of the plan that didn’t work you can see an easier, simpler and even faster way to get to your destination.
This isn’t even hope. It’s real metaphysics.
The world still works and Y and Z still exist.
You now have the opportunity to do something different, try a different X.
And having the benefit of some life experience I have found that the X you need to try is the one you were afraid of, or is really big and bold or maybe just makes you a little uncomfortable.
Those who want to be writers may have a lot of X’s lined up, The thinking goes that if this happens and then this happens, THEN I get to be a writer.
While it can work that way, it might not be the best route. You are counting on too many variables out of your control.
The only thing that is in your control today is your action. You ability to make a decision that today is the day you are going to launch that writing dream.
Retired Writer’s Club has the resources you need – right now, today – to help you get started. You may or may not have got shook but you don’t have to wait for a sign from the universe that your metaphysics is muddled.
